- Published 3 clinical papers in an SCI journal with Korea-Japan medical team - Showed rescuing dermal papilla cells and suppression of reactive oxygen   (PROSTEMICS=November 08, 2017)   Prostemics (KOSDAQ 203690) announced that 3 papers about hair loss using adipose derived stem cell conditioned media (hereafter ADSC-CM, Material name: AAPE) were published in thematic issue of ‘Current Stem Cell Research and Therapy’, an SCI journal, on November 8.   The study confirmed that the ADSC-CM treatment improves the hair-loss problem without any side effect in over 1,000 patients in the clinics and hospitals of Korea and Japan. It is world’s first result that showed both the basic mechanism of hair regeneration by ADSC-CM and mass global clinical results.   Compared to cord blood and bone marrow, an ADSC has a high cell regeneration capability, making it easy to mass produce a conditioned media from it.   ‘AAPE’, the ADSC-CM used in these studies, is conditioned media of mesenchymal stem cell from human adipose tissue, developed from Prostemics. And the application results of AAPE in more than 10 papers have been published in global SCI journals over 10 times. Based on these study results, AAPE has been exported to the world including Japan, China, Latin America, Middle East, etc.   An internal person of Prostemics said, “this study does not just show that stem cells activate dermal papilla cells (DPC) and promote their growth but also clarified the mechanism of how stem cells protects DPCs from male hormones and reactive oxygens. Consequently, the study proved the effects of AAPE on male pattern hair loss and implies that the hair regeneration therapy using ADSC-CM is rising beyond laboratories as an actual option in hair loss treatment in the world   Prostemics has many AAPE patents in USA, China, etc. Also, AAPE has been used in more than 200 clinics and hospitals for more than 9 years in Japan. Recently, the company established a joint venture company with a Chinese medical distributor to broaden the distribution channels for AAPE and cosmetics based on it.
